3rd Birthday Card

Posted by USS Crafty | Sunday, August 03, 2014 Categories: , ,

It's almost that time again... My daughter will be 3 years old on August 26th. Last year, I made a birthday card for her, and I sent it in to the Sprout channel. I was so excited when they showed it on TV. At the time, Sean was still a host on the Sunny Side Up Show, and he read Krissy's card, which was great because he is the only host who Krissy ever said his name. On the Noodle and Doodle show, the kids always say, "Hi Sean!" and Krissy would say it with them. So last night, I was up late working on her card. I made trips to Wal-Mart and Michael's for supplies. Last year's card was also an Elmo card, but it also featured a few of the other Sprout characters like Caillou, Poppy Cat, and Supper Why & friends. This year's card only features Krissy and Elmo.

my supplies: Elmo birthday card, photos of Krissy, foam letters, birthday stickers, glue sticks, scissors, poster board, washi tape, and scrap book paper

I covered the yellow poster board with red and blue scrap book paper and separated the sections with the washi tape.

    1. My daughter LOVES Elmo. I have to hide one of her talking Elmo toys every now and then, so I can get a break from hearing, "Elmo has to go potty! Will you please help Elmo go potty?!" lol Anyhoo, I think she liked the card. My husband said it was cute. I was trying to make sure it didn't look like last year's card.

  2. Adorable! I love this. Pinned. We truly love you being a part of our party. I hope you get chance to stop by tonight at 7 pm. It wouldn't be a party without you!
    Happy Monday! Lou Lou Girls
