7 Quick Takes Friday: Our Trip to Tennessee

We spent last week in Clarksville, TN visiting family. My parents were in the middle of moving into their new house, so my husband helped my father move some of the furniture over. Now my parents have everything they need in the house to live in it, but they still have stuff in boxes in the garage and there's still stuff at their old house. My parents' new house is out in the country... Like seriously... Their neighbors are cows and donkeys.

While in Clarksville, we took our daughter to Chuck E. Cheese's. We thought she would've had tons of fun, but she ended up getting a little cranky. I had fun playing Skee Ball.

She wanted to dance with Chuck E, but he didn't cooperate.  :-(

I did some shopping during our trip. We stopped by Target and Old Navy. Of course, we had to take pics with the Old Navy mannequins.

I also went shopping with my mom. There's a store called Bill's that has some cool stuff for the home. I picked up a few things... I've been wanting a boat shelf, and I bought a couple. I would've bought the biggest one, but I wasn't sure if it would fit in our vehicle with all our luggage.

On the way back home, we ran into a lot of rain and traffic, and somehow, got a crack in my windshield! Ugh!

Can you see the road? I can't...

I don't like taking pictures of people in "distress," but when this guy was putting air in his tire, it popped and scared the crap out of everyone! While my husband was putting gas in our SUV, a woman stopped and asked him, "What was that loud sound?"

We spent a week in Tennessee, and while it's great visiting family, there's nothing like the comfort of your own home and your own king sized bed. Since I've been back for almost a whole week, I have been so tired and drained I have been taking the longest naps. I've had physical therapy twice this week, and I did the 1 hour glucose test and failed, so I'll be taking the 3 hour glucose test in the morning. I had to do this when I was pregnant with my daughter, and I did not have gestational diabetes, so I'm hoping that I don't have it with this pregnancy. Wish me luck.

  1. Haha you made me laugh about the neighbors. I live out smack dab in the middle of the country to the front of me is a field full of cows thr right are some goats and the left I can only assume or hope are sheep. They make the best entertainnment for the kids and aside frlm the occasional moo, maa and baa..theyre pretty quiet and stay to themselves.

    1. My daughter found the donkeys and cows very entertaining. My mom likes having them around, too. They say the donkeys keep coyotes away.
